Lily: Each turn, one player is the artist. They pick one of three secret words on their phone. Shh, don’t tell!
Arnold: The artist draws on their phone, and every line shows up on the TV as it’s drawn. No letters or numbers allowed!
Lily: Everyone else races to guess! Say your guess into your phone, or type it. The faster you get it, the more points you score.
Arnold: At the end, everyone votes for their favourite drawing in the gallery. Most points wins, and the best drawing makes you artist of the night!
How to play
Keep the word secret
The artist chooses one of three words. After eight seconds, a word is picked for them. Everyone gets a turn to draw.
Draw on your phone
Use the colours, pen sizes, eraser and Undo. Clear asks before removing everything. Hide word covers the answer if someone is peeking.
Keep guessing
Everyone except the artist guesses: tap and say it into your phone, or type it. The first right guess ends the turn. Keep trying if you are close or wrong.
Faster guesses earn more
The guesser earns 100–300 points. The artist earns the same points for a good drawing.
Vote in the gallery
At the end, vote for your favourite drawing on your phone. You cannot vote for your own. Artist of the night earns 100 extra points.
Fair drawing
No letters or numbers
The artist cannot write letters or numbers, speak the answer or act it out. The host can call a foul: no points for that turn.
Pause means pens down
Pausing freezes the clock and locks the drawing. The game carries on from the same place when the host resumes.
Watch the hints
If hints are on, blanks show the word’s shape. A letter appears halfway through and another at three-quarters.
How to win
Most points wins. Equal scores get a tie-break: first right guess wins.
Nobody guesses the word? No points for that turn.
