Arnold: Your phone gives you a joke. Read it to yourself, and wait until the TV calls your turn.

Lily: Stand up and tell the joke out loud to the room. Give the punchline a moment to land!

Arnold: Everyone else rates the joke on the Laugh Meter, from one to a hundred. The lowest laughs each round is out!

Lily: Out? You become a judge. Keep going round by round to the final laugh-off. The last comedian standing wins!

How to play

  1. Read your joke

Your phone gives you a joke. Wait until the TV calls your turn.

  2. Perform it

Tell the joke out loud to the room. When the punchline lands, hit the big Ba-dum-tss! on your phone for a rimshot on the TV.

  3. Rate the laughs

Everyone else rates the performance on the Laugh Meter from 1 to 100. Each joke, one of them is the Sound Effects Crew: applause, laughs, crickets and groans on their phone, played on the TV.

  4. The highest wins

One joke each: the highest Laugh Meter wins. A tie at the top? Just the tied players tell one more joke each.

  5. Until one is left

Pick this in the setup for a longer game: the lowest laughs each round is out, and once more players are out than in, they become the judges.

How to win

Get the biggest laugh on the Laugh Meter.
