Troubleshooting
Most problems have a quick fix: a TV that shows the wrong thing, a phone that can't join, or no sound. Find yours below and what to do about it.
Problems with the TV
The TV is showing a sign-in code again
It's been signed out (from My TVs on your dashboard), or its TV address was replaced with a new one. Link it again: set up the TV.
There's no sound on the TV
Check the TV's own volume, and that the host hasn't muted it from Backstage. Some TV browsers block sound until something is pressed: if the TV shows "Turn sound on", press it, or press any button on the remote.
The picture doesn't fill the screen
On a laptop, make the browser full screen. On a smart TV, try the browser's full screen or zoom setting.
Problems with phones
A phone can't join
Check the four letters match the room code on the TV, and that the phone is on the internet (Wi-Fi or mobile data). Scanning the QR code avoids typos.
A phone dropped out of the game
Open the browser again: the phone remembers the party and gets you back in where you were.
The game is full
Most games take up to 20 players, and some have their own limits. Two people can team up on one phone.
Problems with hosting
I can see the answers, but I want to play
Choose Playing along instead of Quizmaster, and the answers stay hidden from you.
A game won't start
Some games need a minimum number of players, or everyone in the same room. The game shows what it needs on its tile and on its page.
