Lily: Turn your phone sideways: it’s your controller. Left and right to move, A to jump, and B to run. The whole pack races across the TV!

Arnold: Everyone’s dog walks the world map together. The first to press GO on a stage picks it, and the race begins!

Lily: Bump the blocks for power-ups! A mango makes you big, a chilli throws fireballs, and a Cape Leaf lets you fly. Or find the secret tube for a shortcut.

Arnold: Every coin takes a tenth of a second off your time, so the first dog home doesn’t always win. Fastest time wins Speed Run Dogs!

How to play

  1. Turn your phone sideways

Your phone is your controller and your screen. A jumps (hold it for higher), ◀ goes back, ▼ ducks, holds you still and goes down tubes.

  2. Always running

Hold ◀ or ▶ and your dog runs: no run button. Let go and it stops. Keep going the same way and it gets faster, and the zoom meter fills for even more speed.

  3. Power-ups

Bump the blocks. A mango makes you big, a chilli lets you throw fireballs and a Cape Leaf gives you a cape. X throws or spins when you have one.

  4. Fly or find the shortcut

With a cape and a full zoom meter, jump to take off and fly over the hard part. Or find the secret tube and press ▼ on it.

  5. Coins count

Every coin takes 0.1 seconds off your time, so the first one home doesn’t always win. Fall in a hole and you go back to the last lifeguard flag.

How to win

The fastest time, with the coins taken off, wins the race.
